Hacienda with history

We have restored a historic henequen estate dating back to the late 19th century, combining its original character with luxurious finishes and modern comfort. For more than 100 years, it bore witness to Yucatán’s “green gold” era: the work in the fields at dawn, prayers in the chapel, and long celebrations beneath the flamboyant trees in the courtyard. Every semicircular arch and every red henequen tile floor preserves a piece of that history.

From historic heritage to a sanctuary for life

In the heart of Samahil–Umán, we have restored the grandeur of colonial architecture, adapting it to modern standards of accessibility and safety without altering its serene essence.

Every space has been thoughtfully designed to provide a safe environment, fresh air, and the sense of peace that only the Yucatecan countryside can bring to everyday life. Guests who stay with us for more than a few days often tell us the same thing: after three days, they begin to sleep better. They start reading again and regain a natural appetite at regular mealtimes. They rediscover long conversations—the kind of conversations that, in today’s busy world, no one seems to have time for anymore.

A new sunrise

At 5:30 a.m., birds begin to sing in the trees overlooking the main courtyard. Around 6:00 a.m., warm sunlight filters through the tall windows. By 6:30, coffee is already being served in the open kitchen, and anyone who wishes can take a cup out into the garden.

Our philosophy

There is no rush here. No bells, no rigid schedules, and no mandatory activity lists.

We are your new home.

We take pride in building lasting relationships with those who place their trust in us. Transparency, keeping our word, and genuine closeness are the foundation of how we work. Every conversation with a guest or their family is an opportunity to refine our care and make the hacienda a place that truly feels like their own.

The days begin when the body is ready to wake, which is almost always early, without an alarm, accompanied by the first songs of the birds that inhabit the hacienda’s trees—the grackles, the motmot, the Yucatecan woodpecker, or the distant calls of the chachalacas.

An hacienda that speaks for itself

We believe in a model of care that prioritizes the independence of our residents, while providing continuous professional support in a comforting natural environment.
